As of Friday, the 49ers were favored by 4 points at BetUS Sportsbook. According to data released by BetUS, customers seem to be divided between money line and point spread bets. Almost 64% of bets and 55.60% of dollar volume on the point spread had been bet on the Niners. However, the underdog Cowboys (+170) have attracted 51.51% of the tickets placed and 51% of the dollars wagered on the money line, known as the outright winner.
What most bettors seem to agree on is to expect points on the board, since almost 62% of bets and 63% of dollar volume had been bet on the ‘over’ 46 ½ points as of Friday morning.
“Brock Purdy will look like the rookie he is in his first real test as the Niners play host to the Cowboys and their tough pass defense Sunday,” Barger said. “I liked the Cowboys +5, but sharp money has brought the line down to San Francisco -3.5 and them to -4 making under 46½ the best bet in the game.
“I think the Niners will win a close game with Christian McCaffrey and their much stronger running game than the Cowboys. Dallas has had trouble running the ball and faces the NFL's second -ben rush defense and top overall defense. This looks like a 21-20 type of game with a slight advantage going to San Francisco.”
At BetUS we have different sports betting experts. You can download a short video featuring NFL analyst Johnson, who breaks down Dallas.
Johnson says that the preseason Super Bowl odds for Dallas started at a respectable +1000, and after gutting the GOAT in Tampa Bay to close out Super Wild Card Weekend the Cowboys now sit at +900 to win the Super Bowl.
“If bettors played the Cowboys against the spread all season, they would be +money as they are currently 11-7 against the spread, including the playoffs," he adds.
BetUS has long led the sports betting industry in the variety and number of proposition bets on offer for this and other NFL games.
For this game in particular, BetUS offers more than two dozen game props like what will be the first scoring play of the game, which team will score first, and an Extra Point Specials about Brett Maher's record of his last 4 extra points missed.
